Implementation of a maintenance-free test automation framework
A national healthcare company reached out to PK seeking a functional-based test automation solution for their intranet portal applications.
The client operates approximately 400 intranet portal applications. Testing of these applications was carried out manually by a third-party vendor, which proved to be an intensive and lengthy process. The challenge was to develop a cost-effective and maintenance-free framework based functional test environment.
PK adopted Agile (scrum) QA methodology and implemented its test automation framework for a sample of 1,000 test cases across selected applications, after which it went live. PK’s QTP Framework, which is based on descriptive programming, was identified as the best solution and implemented. The project was a success, completed on time and within budget, resulting in application maintenance-free work and processing.
